How We Started
Our founder, Josh Rizek, heard from people who were disappointed with their inspector and wished they’d had better options. He knew his attention to detail and his passion for real estate would be a perfect fit to help others in their search for their home.
Josh has had experience in a number of industries, with small businesses and larger corporations. He has learned from each of these experiences and brings the best of both worlds to what he does at Acorn Inspections.
A Family Business
I am a husband and father of two boys with a daughter on the way. I would do anything to help my family stay safe, and that is exactly the way I will inspect your new home.

About Josh
Josh graduated from John Glenn High School in Walkerton, Indiana. He then attended the Universal Technical Institute. After graduating there, he was selected to go to Mercedes-Benz Elite training. While working there, Josh became a Master Certified Technician for Mercedes-Benz. As most things are with Mercedes, everything is about quality. Josh inspected new and used cars for defects similar to property inspections.
Josh was co-owner of a CNC machine shop in Indiana and oversaw the quality control program. He successfully helped the shop achieve ISO 9001 and AS9100 (Aerospace) certifications. In his daily tasks inspected parts daily for issues. Josh is currently a Certified Professional Inspector with InterNACHI and also licensed through the state of Indiana. Josh is always taking new classes to expand his knowledge and skills in the real estate and inspection industries.
