Frequently Asked Questions

Why should you have a home inspection?

The home buying process is very exciting yet stressful. Sometimes while looking at the house you get excited and overlook some of the issues. So by having the home inspected your able to make an informed decision to protect you and your family.

What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of the accessible areas of a residential property. It is designed to identify defects within specific systems and components defined by these Standards that are both observed and deemed material by the inspector. The home inspection is based on the observations made on the date of the inspection, and not a prediction of future conditions. The inspection will not reveal every issue that exists or ever could exist, but only those material defects observed on the date of the inspection.
How long does it take?

A home inspection ranges from 2.5 – 4 hrs depending on the size, age, and condition.

Should I attend the home inspection?

We encourage that you are there during the home inspection, but it is not necessary. If you’re able to be there during the inspection, you will be able to see what we find and ask questions as we go along. If you are unable to make it for the whole inspection, please try to make it to the end of the inspection and we could do an overview of what we have found. If that is impossible due to scheduling, we can discuss any questions you have at a later date.
